“The MKS Type ROR LA Rate of Rise Primary Standard Gas Flow Calibrator performs high accuracy gas flow rate measurements from 1sccm to 50 slm. The system uses a rate of rise technique to measure the change in pressure and temperature *over a set period of time) in an evacuated calibration chamber of known volume. The ROR unit then calculates the gas flow rate using the relationship between the pressure rise over a measured time interval and the change in temperature over the same interval in the calibration chamber. This measurement technique is independent of the type of gas used since the relationship between pressure change and temperature change in a known volume is the same for all gases. In addition, the technique uses primary measured variables…to measure gas flow rate and the results are directly traceable to NIST. The system can automatically calibrate multiple mass flow controllers from any MFC vendor. This unit is setup for FOUR channel capability.”
